Just looking at those pictures brings back the familiar "I need to get on a taxi NOW" panic. I can feel my heart racing as I try to walk through a line of taxi drivers all asking me where I am going. I can feel the sweat trickle down my forehead as I try to barter down and price, and I can smell the BO as I climb into the back corner of a taxi and effectively cut my foot on some sharp piece of metal and get my skirt caught in a folding seat. I can feel the fear that comes when obsessively staring out the window hoping that I don't miss the right moment to yell, "MASOW!" I can also feel the anxiety that comes as I have to climb over three people, two chickens and a suitcase to get out and trying for the life of me not to fall on my face...Oh, the joys of Ugandan taxis.
